Design Intensive is a focused, full-day collaboration tailored to homeowners in Washington, D.C., Maryland and Northern Virginia area who need strategic guidance without long term engagement. Whether you’re refining a single room, evaluating floor plans, or navigating finishes and furnishings, this session delivers clear answers and an actionable path forward.
In a Design Intensive, we work through your priorities together—live and in real time. You’ll receive professional insight rooted in experience across residential design, project coordination, materials, and spatial planning. The goal is simple: to help you move forward with confidence, armed with solutions that are both beautiful and functional.
Perfect for single rooms, multi-room direction, or the early stages of a renovation, this service distills your goals, challenges, and style into an actionable roadmap.

Your Design Intensive is tailored to your needs, but often includes:

Floor plan guidance and spatial strategy

PROCESS

It’s on the house!
This 30-min phone call is our speed dating session to get to know each other. You’ll get to share some background information, desired scope and budget for your dream project and learn more about the Jayme Ritchie Interiors process. If the stars align, we’ll move forward into preparing for your Design Intensive.
A formal contract is signed and a 50% non-refundable deposit is collected.

You’ll receive a questionnaire and upload link for photos, videos, and inspiration. This ensures our time together is purposeful and productive.
After reviewing this information, we’ll set an agenda for the day (including both time in your home and back in our office) and set a date!

We meet for a focused, working session designed to give you tangible direction, smart strategy, and clear decisions.
After our time together in your home, we’ll return to the office to pull together notes from the day, final details, and recommendations.

Within a few days, you’ll receive a polished packet summarizing recommendations, concepts, links, and any next steps.

One 30-min follow-up support phone call is available to help you bring your vision to life. (Must be scheduled within 2 weeks)

Design Intensive days can typically be scheduled within 2 weeks of receiving your deposit. Final deliverables will be delivered within 1 week of your Design Intensive day.

Of course! Design Intensive is a stand alone design service intended to start you out on the right foot and does not include construction drawings or project management.

We’ll review many inspiration photos together and start to establish what feels good to you. People rarely fit neatly into design styles. It’s our job to help you find a style that’s true to you!
